Inform the Aus­län­der­be­hör­de of a job change

If you have a residence permit, and you lose your job, you must tell the Ausländerbehörde.2 Use this letter template to do it.

If you change jobs, use the official form to report a job change.

How to send this letter

Use the Ausländerbehörde contact form to send the message. Attach these documents:

  • A copy of your resignation letter or termination notice
  • If you have a new job, a copy of your new work contract

The Ausländerbehörde will reply by email. They might reply in a few weeks, or not reply at all.1
